Writing has been a big part of my life. I’ve kept a journal for the past 7/8 years.
When life’s been difficult for me, I didn’t know who to talk to or when I felt like I had no-one my journal felt like the most important thing to me.
I went through a time in secondary school for a few years when I was very down and unhappy. I always felt like there was no one who would really understand.
At the time I thought I needed someone but instead I found solace in putting pen to paper. Writing was my outlet.
Being 17 now, its almost scary when I look back on the things I wrote remembering the way I used to feel.
That is the theme for this month. Each week I’m going to write a piece and share it with you. It might be a poem, lyrics or just a story- sky’s the limit.
If you liked this post I hope you’ll be back next week for ‘Writers March: Week 1’.
You may or may not know that for 2014 I decided that each month would have a theme which I post about weekly.
So far I have done:
As February is almost up, the past couple of days I have been thinking of what March’s theme will be.
It was only a few hours ago that the idea hit me and I am beyond excited and even more so to share it with you.
I think this theme will give me a chance to post stuff I don’t usually post and maybe give you the chance to get to know more about me.
All will be revealed in 2 days so LOOK OUT!!!
Hey, isn’t it crazy how quickly this month has gone by. I feel like it was just last week that I posted my first Vegetarian January post.
This past week has been great and at times not so great but that actually has nothing to do with what I’ve been eating.
I feel like this last week has gone by so quickly and I’m actually a little nervous to start eating meat again after going so long without it.
What I’ve learnt over the past month is that its not the meat that’s a necessity it’s the protein. I feel like last year meat was an essential part of the meals I ate but now I’m so good without it.
I’ve really come to love being vegetarian over the weeks even though it was challenging to start with.
This month wasn’t just about not eating meat it was also about improving my diet by cutting out excessive sugary snacks and eating more vegetables.
I used to snack on sweets A LOT, like I swear I was addicted. Now I snack on fruit, salad and nuts and I love it. It makes me feel so good when I’m eating a banana instead of a chocolate bar or cucumber instead of biscuits.
I really hope that next month my eating habits continue to get better and that I don’t revert back to old ways.
I don’t want to go on too much but lastly I just want to thank you as a reader, for taking an interest in my Vegetarian January posts. Thanks to all those who read, liked and commented on posts. Also thanks to those who read these posts and decided to follow my blog.
I’m actually a little sad January is almost over, but its been good.
I cant believe October is over already, time flies!
Hope your October has been great, here is what I’ve been up to:
Taking a walk in my everyday autumn/winter boots
When I get the time I like to make my nails look interesting.
My new necklace from Dorothy Perkins it was £10 but they had it on sale so it only cost me £3! (BARGAIN)
I decided to buy an MUA nail varnish it cost £1 and the colour is called Plum Noir, its a really lovely dark berry colour. I wouldn’t claim it as amazing quality but for what it cost I was pleased.
This top hasn’t come out so great in the picture but I got it from a charity shop, not sure if I’ll actually wear it but at the time I thought it was an interesting piece.
So I got this from h&m for £7 on sale, its original price was £24.99 so I’m really pleased.
Stud detailing on the shoulders which I love.
My niece created this from my grapefruit peelings, she’s so creative!
I wore this outfit this week for my friends birthday the skirt is from h&m and the crop top is from new look. This week alone 3 of my friends are having birthday celebrations as they turn 18 so it’s quite a busy week for me
Funkadelic- Standing on the verge of getting it on
So that’s all for this month, its been a great one and I have a feeling November will be even better!
