This particular outfit almost didn’t make the blog because the sun messed it up. However after some editing it turned out alright.
The cardigan is from h&m for just £7.99 which is awesome, it’s really light and the length of it is perfect. The cami and jeans are old essentials that make up some of my best outfits. What I like about this outfit is that I looked good and felt confident. Never underestimate the power of the right clothing combination.
These past few days I’ve been trying to reconnect with some of my old college friends as since we all finished last summer I have been pretty distant. As I’ve mentioned here and there over the past couple of months, last year my mental health was in terrible condition. I spent a lot of time alone because I didn’t really want people to see me as I was.
Anyway the point is that things are very different now and I feel a happiness I don’t think I’ve ever felt before. I laugh every single day and I’m so grateful. Each day is full of little victories and I am the best I have ever been.
I can’t deny that every now and then I have moments of vanity. A time when I love what I’m wearing, feel super confident and I find myself looking in the mirror a lot (probably a little too much!).
I always tend to feel at my best wearing outfits like this. They are easy to put together but still look a little smart. The skirt I’m wearing has its own shape which contrasts well with the top as it’s quite loose and doesn’t hold a specific shape (which actually makes it pretty versatile).
This is just a quick outfit post because I didn’t get to take the photos the way I usually do. Lately I’ve been really liking the combination of a camisoles with a coat. I think its a really nice combination for autumn. I love smart coats, jackets and blazers. Wearing smart outer wear is a great way to look a little more put together and take an outfit from casual to smart casual. In this outfit I’m wearing old trainers but the outfit would be perfect with some black loafers.
I don’t really wear t-shirts that often, I much prefer a tank top or camisole. Anyway a while ago I bought a t-shirt from h&m, it was one of the basics so it only cost about £3.99.
I was going shopping one day then whilst choosing what to wear I took out the tee and decided that in order to ensure I wore it I should begin with it. I kept the outfit nice and simple and wore jeans then added a patterned jacket.
The jacket is also from h&m but it is really old, I’m pretty sure I got it t the beginning of 2013. I used to wear it all the time and I thought it was so cool but nowadays I don’t wear it as much. I think it has lost it’s charm with age.
So, I should totally go out and get myself a new statement jacket!
Take my use of capital letters and exclamation marks as excitement!
I’m finally back 🙂
After taking a break for almost 3 weeks, I’m ready to start posting again.
So now on to the outfit which includes a floral cropped top which I really like as it’s not too short and it adds brightness to a dull outfit. I’m also wearing a grey cardigan, black jeans and a black backpack.
The backpack is has quickly become my go to bag as its big enough to fit my essentials, its black so it goes with everything and lastly because it leaves me hands free.
Thanks for reading,
On the left is a floral crop top from New Look which I got on sale for £6, I probably won’t get much wear out of it this year as Autumn is on it’s way and it’s very much a summer piece. I love the floral pattern on it and even though it’s cropped it isn’t too short.
The next item is just a basic black stretch camisole from Primark which was only £2, I got it to wear underneath my sheer tops as sometimes a visible bra isn’t quite appropriate. The thing about this stretch camisole is that it is ridiculously stretchy so much so that in the pictures above it looks like a dress; an extremely short one none the less !
