Someone told me this outfit reminded them of a school girls uniform but I was not offended because I looked spectacular. The shirt dress is quite thin and a little short at the sides so I wore black shorts underneath just in-case. The thin sweater added warmth and the belt was the finishing touch.
The shirt dress was quite a recent purchase from tkmaxx but I’ve worn it so much already, it is definitely one of my SS15 fashion essentials. I’d love another shirt dress in a bright rich colour or with a crazy psychedelic pattern so I’m going to put that on my wishlist along with 101 other things.
Just a few things I got on some of my recent shopping trips.
The black shorts were £4 from Primark as part of there workout range, however I didn’t get them for exercise instead I plan to wear them under short dresses in the summer.
The skirt was on sale for £5 in h&m as I was browsing through the print caught my eye.
Lastly the cropped cami for £1.99 also from h&m which I plan to wear with skirts and under sheer tops.
I often make a mess of my outfits when I’m heading off to the library or nature reserve. The way I see it I’m going there solely for myself so it really doesn’t matter what I look like.
I guess that was my inspiration behind this outfit which I’m not so sure what I think of. Initially I thought it was a bit a catastrophe with all the colours however blue, read and cream go together pretty well.
That’s all for now.
My current goal has been to blog 3 times a week. I’m not so sure what is up with me though as I’ve been avoiding just sitting down and getting posts done.
Anyway on to the outfit, I love this dress. It was actually my first time wearing the dress and my only complain would be that whilst I was walking around it seemed really short. However I don’t mind too much although if I was to wear it without tights I’d need some of those under-shorts things.
Tomorrow or Wednesday is going to be my 300th post and I’m hoping I can come up with something exciting.
I have no idea what it will be.
Over the past few days I have been sorting through my wardrobe, putting away the summer pieces and putting in the pieces for the colder weather. Whilst doing that I found this waistcoat (along with a bunch of other items) that I had totally forgotten about. I’m not really sure why the waistcoat wasn’t in the main section of my wardrobe as it’s something you can wear all year round.
I wore the waistcoat with black jeans and a polo/turtle/roll neck top. I haven’t worn a formal waistcoat for a really long time but I like being able to take a formal piece and style it in a casual everyday outfit.
I haven’t blogged for 2 days which I feel quite guilty about as I usually post daily. As much as I like daily blogging sometimes I feel like I end up putting alot of pressure on myself with it. I think I might end up blogging a little less eventually but I’l let you know.
Anyway today I have an outfit post featuring a very baggy cardigan much loved by me. Its super cosy and can easily be thrown on over anything. In this outfit I paired it with high-waisted jeans and a camisole but as the weather gets colder I’ll be wearing it with roll-necks and light sweaters.
Outfits like this are perfect for chilled days when I’m hanging out with one of my sisters or doing some shopping on the high st. However I have not been shopping for what feels like ages and I have so much that I want to buy.
That’s it for now but I should have another post up later on.
For this weeks favourites post I decided to share a few of my favourite blogs ever!
I’d really like for you to check out at least one them, you just might find a new favourite blog 🙂
I admire Seth Godin very much. He’s a blogger, works in marketing and writes books. Godin is also the reason I decided to start daily blogging as it’s something that he does. The reason I like his blog so much is because I learn something new everyday. Also I emailed him and he responded which was so nice of him and unexpected.
The next 2 blogs are similar as they are both mainly style blogs that also include some life stuff aswell.
I’ve been following this blog for ages and I still like it as much as I did then. Her style is very chic and totally different from mine but I still use her outfit posts for inspiration sometimes. I really like the photography on her blog as well and also her style of writing as it’s always interesting to read.
I’ve been following her blog pretty much from the start and her blog just continues to get better. Her blog is one of my favourites because she wears outfits that I would wear, she blogs daily even though she has a busy life and I always look forward to reading the next post.
Here are some of the other blogs I follow:

I’ve got cake
That’s it for this post, thanks for reading!
