An oversized shirt with straight jeans makes a pretty awesome outfit. I would usually have buttoned up the shirt right to the top but this time I left the top few buttons undone, just to try something different.
The outfit was a success (in my opinion) and I had a pretty good day when I wore it. Also I’m now on the hunt for more oversized shirts/blouses because I think the shirt+jeans combo might be my new uniform.
On chilly winter mornings, when I don’t want to leave my bed but have to, I dress for comfort, warmth and nothing more.
Lately I’ve ditched the black jeans in favour these blue ones which I have been wearing pretty much all the time. Under my blue coat- which if your a regular reader of my blog have probably seem many times before- I wore my grey sweater, I don’t particularly like it much but it keeps me warm. Lastly my scarf which I’d like to think ‘ties the whole look together’ but I guess that’s debatable.
The other day I went to this mini planetarium with my little sister and it was pretty fun. It was all about the planets, stars, the universe and all that jazz. I’m really into all that kind of stuff, I just find it so interesting.
Anyway less Physics, more fashion. The pink skirt is probably my favourite skirt that I have but I haven’t worn it for such a long time because it is very short and kinda tight. I’m probably going to give it away but I feel like I need a new skirt to replace it before doing so.
The jumper is from Primark, it’s great for the winter weather as it actually keeps me pretty warm. For my outerwear I chose my denim shirt and just wore it open with the sleeves rolled up.
I walked into the charity shop and as I was scouring the rails I saw this shirt. I instantly wanted it until I saw the label which said XL. I usually wear a UK size 10/12 so I knew this shirt would be way too big. However when I left the shop I couldn’t stop thinking about the shirt so I went back and purchased it for just £3.95!
As soon as I got home I tried it on and I really love it. It’s actually long enough that I could get away with wearing it as a dress (with some little shorts on underneath, just in case!). The only bad thing is the sleeves are too long hence why they are rolled up but it’s nothing major.
It is currently still in the plastic bag, but as soon as it is washed you will be seeing it a tonne! I might even do a mini lookbook showing you how I style it.
I don’t really wear t-shirts that often, I much prefer a tank top or camisole. Anyway a while ago I bought a t-shirt from h&m, it was one of the basics so it only cost about £3.99.
I was going shopping one day then whilst choosing what to wear I took out the tee and decided that in order to ensure I wore it I should begin with it. I kept the outfit nice and simple and wore jeans then added a patterned jacket.
The jacket is also from h&m but it is really old, I’m pretty sure I got it t the beginning of 2013. I used to wear it all the time and I thought it was so cool but nowadays I don’t wear it as much. I think it has lost it’s charm with age.
So, I should totally go out and get myself a new statement jacket!
Here is an outfit I wore yesterday when I took my sister to her first day at school, which is actually my old secondary school. I think I was more excited about it than she was to be honest.
However, whilst I was in secondary school I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I could have because I never really felt like I fitted in with everyone else. I think a big part of it was because I’m quite an anxious person but there were also some other factors.
Now on to the outfit, jeans, a crop top and a lace tee all in black then a denim vest over the top to finish off the look.
On my feet I wore blue trainers which are very comfortable and whilst walking I noticed all the leaves on the floor and it’s only been September for a couple days!
Autumn is here,
So the other day I went out and it looked pretty chilly so I thought it would be a good idea to wear this cardigan from Next, turns out looks really can be deceiving as it was actually kinda warm outside. I guess that’s my own fault though as I never actually check the weather I just look outside my window.
It’s crazy to think that summers pretty much over and it’s back to school season, though not for me as I’m not going to Uni this year, for a bunch of reasons. I’m really looking forward to Autumn though as it’s my favourite season!
