So the other day I went out and it looked pretty chilly so I thought it would be a good idea to wear this cardigan from Next, turns out looks really can be deceiving as it was actually kinda warm outside. I guess that’s my own fault though as I never actually check the weather I just look outside my window.
It’s crazy to think that summers pretty much over and it’s back to school season, though not for me as I’m not going to Uni this year, for a bunch of reasons. I’m really looking forward to Autumn though as it’s my favourite season!
Heyyy so this is the last of my August updates. September will have a new theme which I haven’t yet decided but I will very soon.
I’ve been thinking about making cushion covers because I want to get new cushions for my bed and since I can sew, I may as well just do it myself. I’m planning to come up with a simple geometric design that I will create a reverse appliqué from then I will incorporate it into each cushion in a different way. Anyway whilst planning this out I had a brainwave that I could create a range of soft furnishings, at some point in my life.
Also at the top of the post you can see me wearing a dress which I have now cut because I honestly don’t think I’m capable of wearing long dresses or skirts. Its going to be a few inches above the knee and I’m also going to take it in at the sides to make it more fitted.
Lastly on the agenda of this weeks post is my vegetarian journey as it’s coming to an end. August has been a great month of meat-free-ness and even though I haven’t permanently converted I definitely think I could. I’m actually thinking of trying eating vegan for maybe a week or something as it is undoubtedly the crème de la crème of all the ways to eat.
Thanks for reading,
I love handbags and lately I have been loving the top-handle satchels especially in bright colours. I’ve seen some really nice Marc by Mark Jacobs ones, not that I can afford them but it’s nice to dream. I’m planning to buy a top-handle bag for autumn in a bold colour, maybe a berry tone.

When ever I’m looking for any visual inspiration or ideas I always go on Pinterest. When I first started using it about a year ago I didn’t really like it however as I’ve gotten used to it I realised it is essentially just a search engine with visual results.
The first dress I got is not to my usual taste and I still haven’t decided if I really like it. I do like the floral pattern but I feel like maybe it’s a little too much for me. I love this dress so much its not to my usual taste either but I think my style is changing with age. I love the geometric pattern, the colours are nice and simple but what I also like is the curved hem. It didn’t come with the belt but I think this is definitely how I’ll be wearing it.
This whole outfit is from h&m, minus the belt which I got from a charity shop for £1.25. The jumper dress I got a couple of months ago and this outfit is the first time I’ve worn it but the weather has been getting colder lately which means this dress will become a staple piece.
