Writers March: Week 4

I can’t believe its the final week for this theme!

I want to start by saying ‘Thank you!’ to everyone who has supported Writers March by reading, liking, commenting and following. It honestly means so much to me.

I was kind of stuck for what to write for this weeks post, since its the finale I feel like it has to be AMAZING!

In the end I decided to share something old, that I wrote a few years ago, on the back of one of my notebooks. I decided to share this for the final week of Writers March because it sums up why I write.

“A book of words, rhymes, lyrics and quotes,

Expressed feelings and emotions.

Don’t hold it all inside,

Let it out and make it something beautiful.”

Life Snippets: Not just a pretty face

Hey!

This post relates to Writers March: Week 2 so if you missed that one click here.

So there’s this guy at my college, in one of my classes and when I first met him I thought he was just ‘a really HOT guy!’

But as I’ve gotten to know him I’ve realised he’s ‘not just a pretty face’. There is so much more to him than that and today, for the second time, he’s made me feel inspired.

He works really hard, has goals, is really confident and helps other people.

Anyway I wrote a line about him and I wanted to share it:

‘…his words inside my head,

etched for eternity.

I know that I can do anything.’

Spring Chills

I wore this outfit at the weekend when I spent the afternoon on my local high street shopping. When I started getting ready the sun was out and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day.

My outfit started off with these jeans, which you have probably seen a few times before, from Dorothy Perkins. I paired it with a baggy grey sweater that I tucked in because I love tucking things in.

I then added a piece of jewellery around my wrist from usc, I got it a while back and I just think its such a pretty piece. I chose to wear my little red bag because it added a nice pop of colour.

Unfortunately, as I was getting ready to leave I noticed that the weather had taken a turn for the worse. It had now become rather chilly, the grey clouds that had gathered meant rain was on its way.

So I ended up putting on my much loved blue toggled coat!

A Stripy Sweater

This is an outfit that I wore to college last week. I decided to wear a black skirt and paired it with a stripy sweater that I tucked in, I added a thick belt for some waist definition. Finally to complete the look I added my denim vest which I think helps make the outfit more casual and chilled out.

Even though it’s now spring I still like dressing in quite basic colours like black, blue and grey- all seen in this outfit. All the items of clothing in this outfit are from h&m, which is where I get most of my clothes.

I think each of these garments are quite simple but when you put them together, I they create quite an interesting outfit.

Writers March: Week 3

Hello and welcome to week 3 .

For this week I decided to get a little romantic. I wanted to switch things up and try sharing something different from the past 2 weeks.

I decided to write about a friend of mine that I love spending time with.

I hope for their to be a day,

that you will take my hand and say;

Sweet words like that you love me so

and that you’ll never let me go.

At first glance you didn’t compare to perfection

But getting to know you increased my affection.

We have things in common that I’ve never shared before,

the feeling that I get from you is one I can’t ignore.

Sadly in reality all we have is here and now,

soon is the end, final curtain call, I curtsey, you bow.

However I’ve been friends with this guy for around 6 months and over that time I’ve become quite fond of him and I think he’s fantastic.

I’m happy with the way this weeks piece has turned out so much so, that I want to share it with someone. Who knows maybe I’ll be brave and decide to make a semi-romantic declaration and share it with the guy that inspired the piece!

Moving on, what did you think of this weeks piece?

Love it/Hate it?

Let me know.

Weekend Comfort

wpid-IMG_20140315_120559-1.jpgwpid-IMG_20140315_120539-1.jpg

Hello, so first up I want to apologise for not posting in a while. Although I have lots to share I wasn’t really in the blogging mood, so I decided to wait until I was and right now, I am!wpid-IMG_20140315_120452-1.jpg

I wore this outfit last week Saturday when I was out with my sister on the high street in the morning, doing a bit of shopping. The cardigan I am wearing is from Tkmaxx and it was actually my first time wearing it. I really like it as it’s the kind of thing you can just throw on over a tank top and jeans, which I did.

The outfit was really comfortable and the cardigan is kind of like a blanket and it kept me warm when it got a little breezy. The top I’m wearing adds a pop of colour and is easy to style in both warm and cold seasons.

Writers March: Week 2

Welcome to week 2!

I usually write something everyday but for the past week I haven’t really done any writing.

I think the reason for this was that I was stressed which resulted in lack of sleep which resulted in extreme exhaustion.

Moving on, this morning I woke up and the sun was shining and it made me feel happy and energised. But most importantly it gave me some inspiration and I remembered a line I wrote from a while back.

‘What effect does the weather have on you?’

I wrote that on a day like today, when the sun was shining bright and I was in a good mood.

I instantly turned on my laptop and got typing, here’s what I came up with:

Don’t judge a book by its cover,

A phrase I know is true.

Yet I still find that I judge automatically,

Let my mind run wild and free,

Creating the character I think they would be.

This weeks piece is about someone in one of my classes at college. From the moment I met this person I judged them negatively and I’ve now realised how wrong I was. Particularly just a few days ago in class we got talking and I was surprised by this persons character. I found that they were ambitious, hard-working, friendly and actually a really nice person.

So what are your thoughts on this weeks post, can you relate?

Thanks for reading!
