Life Snippets: March’s theme???

You may or may not know that for 2014 I decided that each month would have a theme which I post about weekly.

So far I have done:

-Vegetarian January

-Expressive February

As February is almost up, the past couple of days I have been thinking of what March’s theme will be.

It was only a few hours ago that the idea hit me and I am beyond excited and even more so to share it with you.

I think this theme will give me a chance to post stuff I don’t usually post and maybe give you the chance to get to know more about me.

All will be revealed in 2 days so LOOK OUT!!!

3 Things I recently bought

First up the little red bag. I got it on sale half  price, £3.50 from Peacocks. I got it for 2 reasons: it was cheap and it looked interesting. I can imagine it as a designer bag made from a red textured leather with the Fox head in real gold- that would be so beautiful.

Next, the baggy bat-winged cardigan from TKmaxx for £16.99. I’ve been looking for a long baggy cardigan for a while and when I saw this one my first thought was ‘I gotta get it’ and I did! I tried it with a belt around my waist as that’s like ‘my thing’ and I thought it looked pretty good. I look forward to wearing it in future outfit posts and showing you how I style it.

I’m not a large in h&m clothes, I’m a small but I decided to  get this top 2 sizes bigger so it fits a little baggier but also so I can wear it as a dress. It is still pretty short though so I’ll probably wear it with leggings. I’ve just realised I’m wearing the small in the picture above (oops!), the Large is a few inches longer and is passable as a mini dress- I promise!

Polo neck + Mini skirt

I’m back with another outfit post for you. I wore this outfit yesterday when I went out shopping with my best friend.

I’m wearing a black polo-neck top, with a floral print mini skirt, I added a thick belt around my waist as I usually do and black leggings from h&m to keep my legs warm. I added a short sleeved long cardigan over the top for extra warmth- its still pretty cold here in England!

I really liked this outfit and it was comfortable to wear which was necessary, as I was out for most of day. The skirt is quite old from peacocks and it was my sisters but she didn’t want it any more, so I took it because I love the print on it and the colours.

wpid-IMG_20140221_114426-1.jpgHere is the bag I carried with me I got it from peacocks a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday was the first time I wore it and I think it went well with my outfit as my skirt also has red on it.

I had such a good day yesterday with my bestie as usual. I bought a couple of things which I will share with you over the next couple of days.

Expressive February: Week 3

Hey there, yep I’m still back with my weekly ‘Expressive February’ post.

I’ll be honest and say ‘this theme has been unsuccessful’.

But I’m ok with that, nothing wrong with trial and error.

What was the point???

Basically I’m promoting self-expression as its something I know that many people struggle with (including me). I decided to be a pioneer and promote it on my blog not that I’m claiming to be the crème de la crème of expressive-ness, but its something I wanted to share.

This week I’m trying to make this post a good one so I’m sharing some great quotes, ENJOY!!!

“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.”
― Sigmund Freud

“No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.”
― Ansel Adams

“None of us will ever accomplish anything excellent or commanding except when he listens to this whisper which is heard by him alone.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

“We are not supposed to all be the same, feel the same, think the same, and believe the same. The key to continued expansion of our Universe lies in diversity, not in conformity and coercion. Conventionality is the death of creation.”
― Anthon St. Maarten, Divine Living: The Essential Guide To Your True Destiny

“The crowning fortune of a man is to be born to some pursuit which finds him employment and happiness, whether it be to make baskets, or broadswords, or canals, or statues, or songs.”

SS14 Trends: 3D Florals

Hey 🙂

Floral is one of those  trends that will always be ‘on trend’ for spring and summer, I guess that makes it timeless. I think the idea of 3D florals is a way for designers to do something different with the same old same floral print, they’ve taken it to the next level.

A-Z Fashion Guide: Appliqué LFW A/W 14/15 Holly Fulton John Rocha

I really like this trend, it’s one that I’ll definitely be embracing.

So what do you think?

Will you be rockin’ 3D Florals this SS14?

Let me know in the comments.

SS14 trends: Sports Luxe

Hey so here is the first post of my SS14 Trends collection.

I think most people already know what sports luxe is, but just to define it- I’d say its a luxurious take on the sporty/athletic look. Not that it has to be expensive, it’s like ‘the fashionable females take on looking sporty’.

Clothes: athletic style trousers, crop tops, racer-back tops or dresses, shorts, bomber jackets and sports jerseys.

Footwear: trainers, wedge trainers and ankle strap sandals.

Fabrics: sheer,mesh and leather.

Details: panels and asymmetrical shapes.

What do you think  of the Sports Luxe trend?

Love it/hate it?

Will you be embracing it?

Dinner with friends

Last night I went out with a group of friends for a birthday dinner.

I decided to dress quite casual but the top I wore made the outfit a little more dressed up. The top is from AX paris, I actually got it from my Mom. At first I wasn’t sure whether I liked but after wearing it a few times I like it a lot. With the top I wore black skinny jeans, patent loafers,  a leather jacket and a blue scarf.wpid-IMG_20140215_193021-1.jpg

The place we went to is called ‘Gourmet Burger Kitchen’, the food was so delicious, their was a great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly.

Overall it was a great night and I had a lot of fun.

Hope your Saturday night was as good as mine!
